F/M Joint

Description

From 1.25 version, it is possible to draw L-shaped assembly and set corresponding processes for it in TubesT, and the parts with bevel cut-off line will be differentiate into Female and Male part respectively.

Application

As for the rectangular part with bevel cut-off line as shown below,

You can choose F/M Joint in the drop down arrow of Kerf Compensate.

Then you’ll be led to the window below, here you can choose Female or Male type for the to-be-modified part, and it is recommended to set a Female and Male respectively.

If the value of the fillets on the rectangular tube is greater than that of thickness, there will be interference when assembling as the tube will rotate during cutting the corners, just as shown below,

Offset Cut(1mm recommended)

You can set proper value for this parameter like 1mm, so as to avoid the cutting head vertically cuts to the side.

When finished, the cutting path is changed definitely, and then you can nest the parts as needed.
